Course on “Cognitive modeling using Matlab"
From the 24th to the 26th of April 2024 Dr. Sophie Bavard and Dr. Chih-Chung Ting from Universität Hamburg offered an introductory course “Cognitive modeling using Matlab”. Alongside RTG members, multiple researchers from other labs at UHH and UKE were able to benefit from this offer.
The course covered the state-of-the-art cognitive computational modeling in psychology and neuroscience, and provided solid theoretical foundations to convey how computation modeling sharpens our hypotheses and our understanding of underlying cognitive processes. The instructors focused on two dominant modelling frameworks, while allowing the participants to gain valuable hands-on experience with model development and implementation.
