Qualification programme of the RTG in the first months of 2023

The first few months of 2023 have been filled with a number of exciting offers for our RTG members.

On the 2nd to the 3rd of March the head of the Ombuds Office of the Universität Hamburg, Ms Helga Nolte, offered a workshop on “Good scientific practice” for the second group of our RTG student members. The workshop included a lot of case studies and discussions within a small group, so that the participants were able to benefit both from Ms Nolte´s profound experience and each others´ perspectives.

On the 20th to the 22nd of March Jan Willem de Gee, PhD, Assistant Professor of Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience at the University of Amsterdam, offered a hands-on workshop on Python for beginners. The course was a combination of lectures in the first half of the day and hands-on learning in the afternoon, enabling the participants to learn on relevant examples at their own pace.

From the 18th to the 20th of April a workshop on Psychtoolbox took place, led by Dr. Dipl.-Psych. Andreas Sprenger from the Neurology Clinic of the Universität zu Lübeck. In a small group the participants were demonstrated real applications of the scripts they learnt together, while having a chance to find solutions to presented tasks themselves and pose personally relevant questions.

We are looking forward to the next months with a diverse programme of RTG courses!
